The Short Version

Stack Tracker Gold is built with privacy as a core principle. Your precious metals holdings data stays on your device. We don't have access to it, we don't want access to it, and we couldn't see it even if we tried.

Data Storage

All portfolio data—your holdings, purchase dates, prices paid, and notes—is stored locally on your device. This data is encrypted using your device's built-in security (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode).

We do not operate servers that store your portfolio data. There is no "account" to create and no cloud sync that sends your data anywhere.

What We Do Collect

To provide the app's functionality, we use the following services:

Spot Prices: We fetch live metal prices from third-party APIs. These requests do not include any information about your holdings.
Receipt Scanning: If you use the receipt scanning feature, the image is processed by an AI service to extract text. The image is not stored after processing.
Crash Reports: Anonymous crash data may be collected to help us fix bugs. This contains no personal or portfolio information.
Subscription Management: If you subscribe, RevenueCat processes the payment. They receive standard purchase information from Apple/Google but have no access to your portfolio data.

Waitlist Emails

If you join our web app waitlist, we store your email address to notify you when the web app launches. We will never sell your email or send spam. You can request removal at any time by emailing us.

Data Export

You can export your portfolio data as a CSV file at any time from within the app. This file stays on your device—we never see it.
