The Short Version

Stack Tracker Gold is built with privacy as a core principle. You control your data. Use the app without signing in and everything stays on your device. Create an account and your data syncs securely to the cloud—your choice.

Data Storage

Local Storage: If you use the app without signing in, all your portfolio data—holdings, purchase dates, prices paid, and notes—is stored locally on your device. This data is encrypted using your device's built-in security (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode). We never see it.

Cloud Sync: If you create an account, your holdings sync securely to our cloud servers (hosted on Supabase) to enable access across devices. You can switch between local-only and cloud sync at any time.

What We Collect

For users who don't sign in: We collect nothing. Your data stays on your device.

For signed-in users:

Email address: Used for your account and to contact you if needed.
Holdings data: Your metals, quantities, purchase prices, and dates—synced to enable cross-device access.
Receipt images: We do NOT store receipt images. These are processed in memory and deleted immediately after extracting the data.

For all users:

Spot Prices: We fetch live metal prices from third-party APIs. These requests do not include any information about your holdings.
Crash Reports: Anonymous crash data may be collected to help us fix bugs. This contains no personal or portfolio information.
Subscription Management: If you subscribe, RevenueCat processes the payment. They receive standard purchase information from Apple/Google but have no access to your portfolio data.

What We Don't Do

Sell your data to third parties
Share your information with advertisers
Track your browsing or behavior outside the app
Access your data without your permission

Data Security

All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
All data encrypted at rest
Cloud data hosted on Supabase (SOC 2 compliant infrastructure)
Local data protected by your device's built-in security

Your Rights

Export: Export your data anytime as a CSV file from within the app.
Delete: Delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time.
Control: Switch between local-only and cloud sync whenever you want.
