Troy's Analysis

Hycroft and Silvercorp catching bids tells me institutional money is rotating into mining exposure ahead of what they see coming. But here's the disconnect - physical premiums haven't moved much despite these equity pumps. The paper markets are pricing in future production while the physical market stays focused on present reality. Hycroft's Nevada operations have been capital intensive, and Silvercorp's Chinese exposure adds geopolitical risk. Smart money knows mining stocks give you leverage to metal prices, but they also give you operational risk, dilution risk, and management risk. Stack the metal, not the miners. When gold breaks $2200 and stays there, these mining plays will look cheap in hindsight, but physical will still outperform on a risk-adjusted basis.
